The Option To Provide A Delayed Start
A company generally comes into existence and becomes "incorporated” when the Articles of Incorporation (for a C-corporation or S-corporation) or the Articles of Organization (for a LLC) are filed with the state. Becoming incorporated on the date of filing is usually the best option. However, if there is a reason that you require your company to become incorporated at a later date, states allow a delayed effective date, if so stated on the Articles.
As you fill out the information form, we provide you with an opportunity to indicate the number of days after filing that you want your corporation to begin, if so desired. The date cannot be more than ninety days after filing.
